2025 at ContactPigeon: A Year of Breakthroughs, Bold Moves, and a Glimpse Into the Future

Every year has its milestones. But 2025 was something different for ContactPigeon, a year defined not by incremental wins, but by leaps. By acceleration. By the feeling that the entire retail and eCommerce ecosystem is shifting under our feet… and we’re helping shape that shift.

Here’s a look back at the moments that defined our year, our team, and the future we’re building.

The breakthrough of the year: Introducing the Menura AI Agent

This is the moment that defined 2025 for us and what we have been working towards the entire year. After years of R&D, data modeling, and AI experimentation, we introduced the Menura AI Agent, ContactPigeon’s first AI commerce agent, built specifically for retail.

Menura is not a chatbot, a search bar, or a styling widget. It’s a fully agentic commerce layer that understands products, customers, and intent, acting more like a trained retail associate than a tool.

What makes Menura special?

  • It uses the full intelligence of our CDP: CLV, RFM, behavior, and affinity signals.
  • It adapts to each customer in real time, not static rules.
  • It bridges inspiration and conversion by interpreting natural language, recommending products, solving customer questions, and driving incremental revenue.

Menura marks the beginning of agentic commerce and the future of retail, and we couldn’t be prouder to be, possibly, the first platform globally to bring this vision to life.

Showing up for the community

We kicked things off with energizing touchpoints at the PrestaShop Meetup, where we exchanged ideas with retailers and tech leaders and showcased where omnichannel engagement is heading. These gatherings reaffirmed something timeless: innovation moves fastest when people share knowledge, openly and enthusiastically.

And, of course, we joined GR.EC.A ’s biannual Ecommerce gathering in both June and December, one of our favorite events of the year. GR.EC.A has always been a place where we reconnect with long-time partners, meet inspiring brands, and celebrate the growth of Greek ecommerce.

Bringing our community together, bigger than ever

This year, we organized our largest Pigeons to the Rescue Workshop to date: 6 full days, 2 cities, and hundreds of clients joining us for deep dives into agentic commerce, RFM-driven segmentation, personalization frameworks, and omnichannel retention.

It was one of our proudest initiatives of 2025 and a powerful reminder: education, collaboration, and hands-on strategy are core to who we are as a company.

And of course, we created space to celebrate as a team, from our legendary Tsiknopempti BBQ to our summer windsurfing escape. Because culture fuels creativity, and creativity fuels innovation.

Recognition and milestones that elevated us

2025 also brought a wave of recognition that highlighted how far our product and vision have come. We were featured in Fortune Greece for our groundbreaking collaboration with Google, a partnership that helped shape our next-generation CDP and reaffirmed our commitment to pushing the boundaries of retail data intelligence.

Additionally, one of the most meaningful recognitions we received in 2025 came from G2, a trusted independent software review platform based entirely on verified customer feedback. Across G2’s Summer and Winter 2025 Reports, ContactPigeon stood out for strong market leadership, rapid adoption, high customer satisfaction, and measurable results across Customer Data Platforms, Ecommerce, Personalization, Marketing Automation, and Retail Intelligence.

And, finally, we proudly took home the Email Marketing Innovation Award at the global MarTech Breakthrough Awards 2025, recognizing our work in automation, personalization, and omnichannel engagement.

Growing our footprint

This year, the ContactPigeon flock officially expanded north, a milestone that reflects both our growth and our long-term commitment to supporting retailers across the region. We opened our new offices in Thessaloniki, strengthening our presence in Northern Greece and supporting our fast-growing teams across engineering, product, and customer success. A new space, a bigger team, and a renewed sense of momentum, Thessaloniki marks an exciting new chapter in ContactPigeon’s journey.

Building the future through strategic initiatives

We launched the ContactPigeon Partnership Program, opening new pathways for collaboration with agencies, consultancies, and technology partners across Europe. This initiative formalizes what we’ve always believed: that ecosystem growth happens when great teams join forces.

And in parallel, we continued empowering the next generation of marketers. For yet another year, we were invited to one of Greece’s top universities for the AUEB Digital Marketing Class, where we led a hands-on session on CDPs, automation, and real-world ecommerce use cases. Inspiring students and sharing practical knowledge is a tradition we’re proud to uphold.

Deepening our international network

Our presence across the Balkans and broader European region strengthened meaningfully this year. We co-hosted Netpeak Friends Day: CRM & Marketing Automation Edition in Sofia, bringing together marketers from across the region to share insights and best practices.

We also took the stage as speakers at Shopify Connect, where we discussed conversational commerce, agentic AI capabilities, and the future of omnichannel personalization. These events reinforced something we’ve seen again and again: the appetite for innovation in retail is stronger than ever.

Looking ahead: Our predictions for 2026 in retail & eCommerce

If 2025 was the year AI entered the mainstream, 2026 will be the year AI reshapes the entire commerce stack.

Here’s what we expect to see:

  • Agentic commerce becomes the new CX standard
  • Retailers will shift from segmentation to decisioning
  • First-party data will hit maturity
  • AI styling and discovery will drive AOV growth

Onward to 2026

2025 taught us that when you combine vision, innovation, and an unstoppable team, transformation accelerates. In 2026, we’re doubling down on everything that matters:  advancing agentic commerce, elevating intelligent personalization, empowering retailers, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with omnichannel AI. 

And we can’t wait to shape this next chapter together.
